pod-style furniture in flexible zone

The lobby and concourse areas were redesigned to provide flexible zones for group and individual use. Built-in banquette seating, pod-style furniture, and markerboard walls encourage teamwork and active learning, while quiet areas allow for focused study. Vibrant finishes and layered ceiling treatments add warmth and energy, creating an engaging atmosphere between classes.

Acoustic performance was a key consideration in the design of the high-exposure structure. PGAL worked closely with manufacturers to evaluate ceiling systems early in the process, incorporating PET felt, wood slats, and suspended clouds to reduce sound travel and visually define open spaces.

The renovation also introduced a new office suite for campus staff. The suite includes a reception area, three private offices, a conference room, a copy room, and a work room with integrated counter space, supporting both student services and faculty collaboration.
