Broward County Judicial Complex South Parking Garage
Fort Lauderdale, FL
A six-level, 410,000-square-foot parking garage was constructed on a 1.9-acre site to provide 1,000 spaces while preserving a landmark 1938 Coca-Cola bottling plant. The new facility frames and highlights the historic structure, delivering vital parking infrastructure to a high-density urban district.

Once named one of Florida’s most endangered historic structures, the Coca-Cola building was carefully restored. Exterior façades were repaired with specialized cleaning methods to protect the patina, and non-historic additions were removed with precision to prevent material loss. Long-vacant interiors were stabilized and cleared for future use.
Now serving as the focal point of the site, the historic structure anchors the garage and reinforces a strong sense of place. The project also incorporates city transportation hub offices, 13,500 square feet of ground-level space for the Guardian Ad Litem program, and 1,500 square feet of shell space for future retail.
