Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University John Mica Engineering + Aerospace Innovation Complex
Daytona Beach, FL
As the first building in Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Research Park, the 50,000-square-foot John Mica Engineering and Aerospace Innovation Complex expands the university’s research capacity and strengthens connections with industry and the community.

The facility includes flexible laboratory space, business incubator and leasable areas for industry partners, and a rooftop laboratory. A major feature is the 18,000-square-foot wind tunnel that supports advanced aerodynamic research.
Close coordination with the College of Engineering guided programming for laboratories and collaborative research space. Careful planning ensured all new equipment and building systems fit within space allocations while meeting FAA building height restrictions for the adjacent Daytona Beach International Airport flight path.
