City of West University Place Police Department Renovation

The project created a dedicated center for police and emergency operations, relocating essential functions such as the criminal investigation division, squad room, evidence processing, and juvenile detainment to the expanded facility.

The upgraded space also includes jail facilities, interview rooms, a sally port, locker and shower rooms, and secure armory and storage areas, streamlining daily operations and increasing departmental capacity. To support first responder wellness and emergency readiness, the expansion introduced single-occupancy sleeping quarters for firefighters.

Extensive code upgrades were implemented along with a complete reconfiguration of office and administrative areas, training rooms, conference rooms, and storage spaces. Together, these improvements modernized the facility while enhancing its ability to serve as a resilient public safety hub.
