The streamlined floor plan combines private and shared workspaces, beginning with a custom reception desk that creates a welcoming first impression. An open office area encourages interaction, while private offices for leadership, including the mayor, commissioner, director, and assistant director, balance accessibility with discretion. Conference rooms with acoustically enhanced PET ceiling panels, along with strategically placed IT, storage, and support spaces, improve daily operations.

Natural light, clear circulation paths, and a thoughtfully designed break room enhance staff comfort. Telescoping bronze-finished doors connect conference and break areas for flexibility. Durable finishes, warm tones, and a graphic feature wall inspired by Richmond’s historic railroad bridge anchor the project with a civic identity.
