City of League City Public Safety Building
League City, TX
League City’s 74,000-square-foot Public Safety Building serves as a multipurpose hub for police, fire, and 9-1-1 emergency response operations.

Located on a 12-acre site, the facility is engineered to withstand Category 4 hurricane conditions, ensuring resilience during major events.
The building consolidates key public safety functions, including police and fire administration, jail services, dispatch, an emergency operations center, SWAT and armory spaces, evidence storage, and a crime lab. Support areas for IT, records, and training are also integrated. The jail accommodates 46 male and 12 female inmates with secure intake areas, isolation and detox cells, dayrooms, interview spaces, and attorney-client visitation rooms.
Public-facing elements include a two-story lobby that doubles as a community gathering point and circulation hub. The lobby connects to police and fire services and features a floating steel staircase leading to upper-floor departments. Training facilities include an 80-person classroom, gym, briefing space, and defensive tactics room.
The 1,500-square-foot dispatch center includes 20 call stations with full AV integration and serves as a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). Shared space with the emergency operations center enhances real-time coordination across city departments.
