City of Baytown 9-1-1 Data Center

Its proximity to a major thoroughfare ensures access and support during emergency events. The facility brings together the city’s 911 Emergency Communications and Information Technology Services (ITS) departments in a secure, resilient environment.

The ITS department operates 24/7 and includes a dispatch center, a consolidated radio/911 equipment room, a Communications Coordinator office, and a dedicated data center.

To ensure security and continuity, the facility incorporates a three-level protection system with exterior motion detection, IP cameras, and HID scanners. These features, combined with hardened infrastructure and redundant systems, support uninterrupted operations in the face of natural disasters and critical events.
