Broward County Supervisor of Elections
Fort Lauderdale, FL
The 155,000-square-foot Supervisor of Elections building consolidates Broward County’s election operations under one roof while enhancing transparency, efficiency, and public trust.

Designed as a centralized hub, the facility supports both administrative and operational election functions.
An open atrium connects administrative offices to the operations center, supporting seamless workflows while maintaining strong security protocols. The building also includes training rooms, a voter services center, and a centralized call center that replaces previously dispersed operations, improving responsiveness during critical election periods. Multipurpose rooms with retractable acoustic partitions provide flexible space for early voting, community use, and election logistics.
The operations wing houses a secure warehouse, staging areas, mailroom, equipment storage, and staff amenities. Engineered for resilience, the structure features hurricane-hardened systems and a diesel generator capable of sustaining continuous operation for at least 48 hours during emergencies.
Pursuing LEED Gold certification, the project emphasizes energy efficiency, sustainable materials, and water conservation, reinforcing the county’s long-term environmental goals.
Public accessibility is a core design principle, highlighted by a glass-walled canvassing board room that allows visitors to observe ballot processing and certification.
