Paul Bonnette leads civic and higher education design at PGAL, with a hands-on approach that guides teams through complex program requirements, stakeholder engagement, and community-driven goals. Since joining PGAL in 1995, he has helped strengthen the firm’s reputation for responsive, enduring public architecture.
Paul is especially passionate about mentoring emerging professionals and fostering a workplace where curiosity and growth are encouraged. His early experience at PGAL shaped his belief in the value of taking ownership throughout every phase of a project, a perspective he now passes on to the next generation of architects.
He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Master of Architecture from Rice University. Paul is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Texas Society of Architects, and the Rice Design Alliance.
