Pine Grove Elementary School Modernization

The redevelopment involved phased demolition of outdated buildings and the construction of a new 119,700-square-foot facility. The new building houses eight kindergarten classrooms, 12 primary classrooms, 10 intermediate classrooms, 12 self-contained ESE classrooms, and three part-time ESE classrooms. Two original buildings were fully renovated to support the school’s administration, media center, art and music programs, Pre-K instruction, and ESE services.

The campus layout was reorganized to improve safety and circulation. Administrative offices were relocated to the front entrance for better access, and new courtyard spaces, a reconstructed cafeteria, and a redesigned parking lot enhance the school’s daily operations and sense of community.

A cohesive architectural language ties the three buildings together. Stucco facades, sunshades, decorative accents, and a vibrant color palette reflect the historic character of Delray Beach while creating a welcoming, student-centered environment.
