City of Princeton Steven + Judy Deffibaugh Community Center Renovation

The Steven & Judy Deffibaugh Community Center in Princeton, Texas, transformed a former Methodist church into a modern 4,000-square-foot facility that serves as a cornerstone for community engagement. The center now features a grand hall for events, three multipurpose meeting rooms, and an outdoor pavilion to accommodate a wide range of gatherings.
Structural enhancements included reinforcing trusses and adding foundation piers for long-term stability. Interior updates introduced new lighting and durable finishes with a clean, neutral aesthetic. A bridal room was also added to support wedding rentals and expand functionality.
Further improvements addressed safety and accessibility with a fire suppression system, full floor replacement, and ADA-compliant upgrades. These renovations revitalized the facility, creating a flexible and welcoming space that meets community needs while honoring its historic roots.
