City of New Braunfels Police Headquarters

The 62,285-square-foot main headquarters is organized around a welcoming two-story lobby that reinforces visual transparency and connects the building vertically. A T-shaped ground floor layout houses a community media room, training rooms, locker areas, and key police operations. A secure zone at the rear accommodates high-volume evidence and property storage along with a dedicated forensics vehicle bay.

On the second floor, a mezzanine overlooking the central lobby contains administrative offices, dispatch, detective units, and recruitment and training areas. The T-shaped footprint was intentionally designed to expand into an H-shape in the future, providing flexibility for the city’s growth.

A second structure, a 13,905-square-foot pre-engineered metal annex at the northwest corner of the site, supports specialized vehicle-related functions and includes a fitness center and ample storage space.
