CobbWorks Workforce Development Center
Mableon, GA
The historic Mableton Fire Station #1 has been transformed into a modern workforce development hub that meets the evolving needs of Cobb County.

This adaptive reuse project reimagined the 10,000-square-foot civic building into a vibrant center supporting job training, entrepreneurship, and small business growth.
The renovated facility includes leasable space for emerging businesses, flexible environments for workforce initiatives, and co-working areas designed to foster collaboration and community engagement. It supports a range of services including professional development, skills training, and employment assistance.
While modernizing its function, the project preserved the architectural character of the original fire station. Key design elements were retained to maintain the building’s civic identity, while strategic upgrades support the operational needs of CobbWorks and its community partners.
The CobbWorks Workforce Development Facility has served as a vital resource in our community, providing individuals with the tools, training, and support they need to secure meaningful employment and advance their careers. Through partnerships with local businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations, the facility has helped bridge the gap between talent and opportunity. In addition to supporting individuals, the facility also serves as a vital resource for local businesses, particularly small businesses and entrepreneurs, by providing access to the resources they need to thrive and grow. The result is not only stronger individual outcomes but also a more resilient and thriving local economy. We are proud to contribute to the growth and success of our community every day.
