Terminal C Optimization + Terminal C/B Connector at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
Boston, MA
PGAL, in collaboration with Fennick McCredie Architecture, led the design of the secure concourse connection linking Terminal C and Terminal B at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).

Linking two structurally distinct terminals required a unifying design solution that balanced function with passenger experience. Working closely with the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), the team developed an exterior scheme that visually ties the two buildings together from the airside view.
Inside, the concourse creates a comfortable, intuitive post-security experience. The layout prioritizes circulation, addressing elevation changes and site constraints without disrupting aircraft operations. Passenger-focused upgrades include varied seating, device charging stations, elevated concession areas, a nursing mothers’ room, and a Service Animal Relief Area.
Massport’s wayfinding criteria were integrated throughout, with clear signage designed for public, administrative, and back-of-house areas. Directional cues enhance passenger movement and create a seamless connection between terminals.
