To support the new system, the checkpoint was reconfigured and expanded from four to five lanes. Rotating the lanes 90 degrees doubled the available queuing area, significantly improving passenger flow and efficiency. Additional improvements included new TSA control rooms, high-bay LED lighting, and upgraded finishes and FF&E.

Construction was completed overnight to avoid passenger disruption and maintain full checkpoint functionality throughout each phase.
