Houston Airport System On-Call Aviation Design Services
Houston, TX
Under two consecutive five-year contracts, PGAL completed more than 50 on-call projects for Houston Airports, spanning George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), and Ellington Field.

The scope of work has been wide-ranging, including nine new construction projects, 18 renovations, six major baggage system upgrades, five TSA security enhancements, and two emergency repairs.
Notable efforts include the Hobby Satellite Central Utility Plant and the 2.1-acre Ecopark 2 at IAH, which provides secure parking for 2,300 vehicles. Targeted improvements such as emergency deck repairs at Terminal D and wayfinding upgrades in Terminals A and C further illustrate the program’s impact.
A key success was the Terminal A Explosive Detection System (EDS) and TSA upgrades. Building on earlier baggage system modernizations at IAH Terminals C and D and at Hobby, PGAL applied its deep operational expertise to deliver technically demanding solutions on tight timelines with minimal disruption to airport operations.
