PGAL Honored at “Mane Event” Benefit for Bay Area Homeless Services

PGAL was recognized for its partnership with Bay Area Homeless Services at the 2026 Mane Event, the organization’s annual fundraising dinner held at the Hyatt Regency Baytown-Houston. The evening featured a community roast of local leader Steve Daniele and brought together supporters to raise funds for shelter operations and programs serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness across East Harris, Chambers, and Liberty counties.

During the program, Bay Area Homeless Services acknowledged PGAL for its architectural support of the organization’s ongoing campus improvements. The firm has provided pro-bono design services for a transformative capital project that includes replacing the men’s dormitory and administration building and adding a new commons facility. The project is intended to enhance daily operations while creating a more welcoming and dignified environment for residents.

Bay Area Homeless Services, founded in 1982, operates the only full service homeless shelter in the region. In addition to emergency housing, the organization provides case management, employment assistance, and supportive services that help residents regain stability and move toward self sufficiency.
