Temple Beth El

PGAL designed the renovation and expansion of Temple Beth El, a synagogue rooted in tradition with a focus on meeting the future needs of the congregation and the broader Jewish community.

The project includes the addition of a 175- to 200-seat chapel, a learning center, a gift shop, an expanded entry and lobby with vaulted ceilings, a covered drop off, consolidated administrative offices, a clergy office, and education offices. The existing sanctuary was also renovated, adding a green room to serve the main sanctuary and new chapel, and creating additional storage.

Project phasing allowed the existing facility to remain operational at all times, supporting the congregation’s emphasis on maintaining a connection to prayer and worship.

Features Include:

  1. Renovation and expansion of Temple Beth El’s main sanctuary and social halls to meet clergy’s and congregation’s future needs

  2. Project includes new chapel, central grand hall with seating areas, learning center, gift shop, expanded entry and lobby, covered drop off, administrative offices, clergy office, and education offices. Enhanced landscaping and new turf in the courtyard.

  3. Project phasing allowed the existing facility to remain operational during construction

  4. New contemporary finishes include large expanses of green tinted glass in the chapel, custom designed carpeting, addition of color changing fixtures in the social halls, porcelain tile in the lobby which continues to the exterior covered entrance, and custom designed wood tree sculptures in the chapel.
