Allamanda Elementary School

The striking, Deco inspired Allamanda Elementary School holds one of the largest Exceptional Student Education (ESE) student populations in Palm Beach County.

The 119,700-square-foot, one-story scheme provides optimum wayfinding, visual control, and safety features while respecting the surrounding residential and pristine environmental fabric.

The school includes eight kindergarten classrooms, 12 primary classrooms, 10 intermediate classrooms, 12 self-contained ESE classrooms, and three part-time ESE classrooms. Support spaces include administration, media center, cafeteria, teacher planning, music, art, and physical education.

The interiors are rich with colors including brick red, gold, and celery green used for flooring, furnishings, and accent walls. The cafeteria features full-height expansive windows, 16-foot ceilings with detailed soffits that coordinate with the flooring pattern, and soft banquet seating along the perimeter.

The main entry’s strong geometry is inviting to students, while a viewing window provides strong visual control from the administration suite. All classrooms have ample natural light, and a stunning outdoor courtyard is available for teaching, recreation, and school functions.
