Woodshire Drainage + Paving Improvements
Houston, TX
The Woodshire Neighborhood Drainage and Infrastructure Improvements project delivers a multi-phase solution to chronic flooding in a residential area of more than 500 homes. The project prioritized long-term flood mitigation, modernized utilities, and complete reconstruction of neighborhood streets, all in close coordination with the City of Houston.

A detailed drainage analysis guided the design approach, targeting cost-effective solutions to achieve 100-year storm protection. Phase one included a new drainage system, complete reconstruction of streets and sidewalks, upgraded lighting and traffic signals, and installation of more than 11,000 linear feet of 8-inch and 12-inch waterlines using a mix of open cut and trenchless methods. This phase reached completion in July 2019.
Phase two introduced a second drainage system and back-alley reconstruction, along with an additional 10,500 linear feet of 8-inch waterline improvements.
