West Pearland Library

Developed for the City of Pearland and the Brazoria County Library System, the building integrates three core functions: modern library services, flexible community spaces, and a dedicated Brazoria County Tax Office.

Designed for transparency, natural light, and safety, the layout promotes public access while maintaining secure zones. Clearly defined areas for reading, learning, and collaboration encourage community interaction. The Tax Office is positioned for easy access with operational separation from library functions.

Key features include traditional collections, private and group study rooms, a 16-person conference room, and dedicated spaces for all age groups. A central two-story volume with a “social stair” anchors the interior. Additional spaces include a 100-person teaching theater, a sub-dividable multipurpose room, and a digital maker room for video and film editing. The lobby supports 24/7 access to essential services such as holds, public computers, and workstations.
