United Airlines Club Fly at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

The 2,500-square-foot space, located in Terminal B South at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), was converted from a former concession area into a streamlined grab-and-go lounge environment.

The layout includes a central barista bar, packaged food and beverage displays, casual touchdown spaces, and two back-of-house areas for storage and operations. This efficient configuration allows travelers to grab refreshments and continue to their gates with minimal delay.

Design elements reference Houston’s identity as Space City with sleek wall and floor tile finishes and a center cove lighting feature that offers even, ambient illumination. Felt baffles along the portal provide both privacy and visibility, allowing filtered views from the concourse into the lounge. Branding cues, including United’s signature colors and logos, are integrated into the barista bar and surrounding finishes.

The project was designed in partnership with Rottet Studio.

A dynamic light and art installation at the entry wall changes throughout the day, adding a sense of movement and interaction with the activity in the terminal.
