Located in San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter, The Dalton Hotel is a boutique hospitality and dining project that reimagines two early 20th-century buildings for contemporary use. This adaptive reuse development is set to transform the site into a multi-level destination that celebrates its architectural history while contributing to the continued revitalization of downtown.

The design preserves key elements of the original 1911 and 1930-era structures, including brick façades and period detailing, while introducing modern hotel accommodations, restaurant areas, and lounge spaces. With approximately 6,600 square feet across three levels, including a historically significant basement once used as a Prohibition-era speakeasy, the project blends authenticity with current hospitality expectations.

The design focuses on integrating structural upgrades and contemporary systems within the constraints of the original architecture. Circulation, access, and spatial flexibility are addressed through context-sensitive solutions that support both guest experience and long-term functionality.
