Terminal 4 Redevelopment at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)
Fort Lauderdale, FL
PGAL served as managing partner in a joint venture with Zyscovich Architects for the expansion of Terminal 4 at Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL).

The project delivered 14 new international gates, increasing capacity, streamlining operations, and enhancing the overall passenger experience.
Concourse G features a modern façade with insulated precast panels and high-efficiency glazing, designed to perform in South Florida’s tropical climate. Storefront glazing and angled apertures minimize heat gain while bringing natural light into hold rooms and public areas.
The terminal includes separate vestibules for Federal Inspection Services (FIS) and domestic arrivals. FIS sterile bridges span the double-height concourse, streamlining international passenger flow directly to gates.
Durable finishes support heavy foot traffic across the terminal. White terrazzo flooring defines circulation paths, concessions, and TSA areas, while patterned carpet softens hold rooms. High-use areas such as the connector bridge and concession zones incorporate resilient phenolic panels, mosaic accents, and rectilinear tiles.
