St. Tammany Parish Courthouse + Master Plan

The facility includes 14 courtrooms with space for two future additions, along with offices for the district attorney, sheriff, parish clerk, indigent defenders, tax assessor, and several other parish departments. Public-facing functions are centrally located, while secure areas are organized around the perimeter. Two vertical circulation cores provide controlled access that balances public accessibility with courtroom security.

The courthouse’s design communicates dignity and permanence. Scale, massing, and materials were carefully developed in alignment with Covington’s architectural heritage and approved by the city’s historic district commission.
