South Montgomery County ESD No. 8 Fire Station 11-3
Spring, TX
To replace its original 1975 facility, South Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 8 developed a new two-story, 30,000-square-foot fire station designed to support a growing population and high-performance emergency operations.

The exterior combines traditional red brick with locally sourced Texas white limestone, creating a durable, low-maintenance envelope that reflects regional character. Fully glazed, four-fold red bay doors and stone arches define the building’s identity while maximizing daylight in the apparatus and entry zones.
Three double-depth pull-through bays and one dedicated maintenance bay expand operational capacity. First-floor crew spaces include private bunk rooms, a dayroom, kitchen, fitness and weight room, safe room, turn-out gear storage, and laundry and tool areas. Administrative offices and meeting rooms occupy the second floor, connected to the crew level by a traditional fire pole for rapid response.
A dedicated training complex strengthens district-wide preparedness with a fully grouted masonry structure that includes a burn tower, five-story training tower, and 30-person classroom.
