QTA Facility at Quad Cities International Airport (MLI)

The project unifies maintenance and storage operations for the airport’s three rental car agencies into a single, efficiently organized site.

Located adjacent to and above existing rental car operations, the project was delivered in multiple phases to ensure uninterrupted service throughout construction. The facility was strategically configured to improve operational flow, minimize vehicle turnaround time, and support long-term cost efficiency.

Each rental car agency is assigned exclusive-use maintenance bays and administrative office areas. Shared program elements include 12 fuel positions, two car wash bays, and three maintenance and admin zones. The facility supports parking for approximately 450 storage vehicles, with circulation and access designed to streamline internal vehicle movements.

PGAL’s team conducted multiple operational planning studies to enhance feasibility and long-term value. Design considerations focused on shared infrastructure, durability, and user-friendly layouts that reduce operating costs and improve day-to-day functionality for both the airport and rental operators.
