A historic three-story warehouse in San Diego has been reimagined as the new headquarters for Mindgruve, a global digital agency. Originally built for the Pacific Parachute Company, one of the West Coast’s first minority-owned defense contractors, the building now blends preserved character with a forward-focused workplace strategy.

Restored brickwork, skylights, and architectural details are integrated into a modern environment that emphasizes flexibility, transparency, and creative flow. A naturally lit custom stairwell links all three levels, connecting work areas with communal gathering spaces.

The rooftop level houses an executive suite with a conference room, lounge, full bar, and firepit, offering panoramic views and a flexible venue for meetings and events. On the third floor, open work areas feature dining booths, a full kitchen, and video conferencing pods positioned beneath restored skylights.

The result is a dynamic, multi-level headquarters that honors the building’s past while supporting the client’s evolving creative culture.
