JFK Bus Flyover at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

This dedicated flyover enhances operational efficiency by enabling uninterrupted, two-way bus traffic between the ConRAC and the airport terminals.

The bridge design incorporates trapezoidal steel girders for the long, curved spans and prestressed, precast concrete U-beams for the straight sections. Recessed lighting integrated into the concrete railings ensures both safety and visual appeal. To accommodate two-way bus traffic, a split roadway approach was implemented over JFK Boulevard’s main lanes.

This infrastructure solution supports the airport’s broader goal of improving passenger experience and ground transportation efficiency.
