Horizon of Oakland Park
Oakland Park, FL
Horizon of Oakland Park is a transformative mixed-use development situated on the former City Hall site, designed to invigorate the downtown area with a blend of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces. The project encompasses 310 apartments, with 10% designated as workforce housing, alongside 21,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. A six-level parking garage provides 720 spaces, including 195 allocated for public use.

The development features a pedestrian-friendly “living street” along NE 12th Avenue, known as “woonerf”, which can be closed for community events and is designed to accommodate a future commuter rail station. A pedestrian bridge connects two mid-rise buildings, enhancing walkability and connectivity.
Recreational amenities include a relocated and upgraded Greenleaf Park, offering basketball and tennis courts, a covered playground, and an open-air pavilion. A dog park surrounding the preserved Legacy Ficus Tree adds to the community-focused design.
Horizon of Oakland Park exemplifies a commitment to sustainable urban development, aiming to stimulate economic growth, support local businesses, and promote a walkable, transit-oriented lifestyle.
