Gulf Coast Center Texas City Park & Ride
Located on an eight-acre site, the Gulf Coast Center Transit Facility consolidates critical regional transportation functions into a single, highly functional campus.

PGAL provided comprehensive planning, architecture, engineering, and construction phase services to support this forward-looking infrastructure project.
Designed to streamline operations and improve community access, the facility includes a 20,000-square-foot transit terminal that serves as the Connect Transit headquarters and an Emergency Operations Center for Texas City. A neighboring 13,000-square-foot building supports Gulf Coast Center staff with administrative offices, a flexible training room, and dedicated driver amenities.
To accommodate growing ridership and service demand, the transit hub integrates public-facing amenities such as a welcoming lobby and a covered outdoor waiting area. The campus also supports 500 parked vehicles and up to 50 buses, with infrastructure that includes access roads, pedestrian walkways, site lighting, signage, landscaping, and integrated security systems.
PGAL collaborated closely with the Gulf Coast Center and The Goodman Corporation to deliver this FTA-funded project. Currently, PGAL is leading planning efforts for Phase II, which will expand the site with an additional administration building, four-bay bus maintenance facility, bus wash, and storage building to support long-term operational needs.
