The project scope included full-depth pavement rehabilitation, roadway widening, drainage improvements, culvert extensions, and bridge rail upgrades—all delivered under a compressed three-month design schedule.

A key design challenge was the proposed 12-inch profile raise, which created hydraulic concerns at several existing low-water crossings. PGAL addressed this by developing alternate pavement sections and profile adjustments to maintain drainage functionality and minimize upstream impacts.

The project also included retrofitting existing bridge rails using non-standard details. A two-phase TCP was developed to accommodate extended bridge rail construction and minimize traffic disruption.
