Florida International University Police Department + EOC Expansion

Integrated into FIU’s Parking Garage 5, the two-story, 12,560-square-foot police department provides a visible, accessible public safety presence at the heart of campus.
The facility supports around-the-clock operations for both police and emergency management services.
The ground floor includes a public lobby with access to dispatch, surveillance, records, and campus support services. It also houses locker rooms, secure uniform and weapons storage, evidence processing, holding areas, and a sally port.
The second floor supports administrative functions and accommodates more than 40 patrol vehicle bays. Spaces include administrative and investigative offices, a conference room, Director’s suite, and areas for special projects, evidence processing, and emergency management.
Adjacent space on the second level was reconfigured to create a large Emergency Operations Center. Equipped with food service and storage, showers, sleeping quarters, and additional workrooms, the EOC ensures readiness during campus emergencies and provides critical resources for multiple FIU departments when activated.
