Consolidated Rental Car Facility + Ground Transportation Center at Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO)

The project is being delivered in collaboration with the Reno–Tahoe Airport Authority, the Rental Car Industry, and Conrac Solutions.

Located near baggage claim, the new facility will consolidate rental car operations into a central hub accessed via a 750-foot pedestrian walkway. The design improves customer experience, enhances operational efficiency, and returns valuable airport real estate for future terminal expansion.

This four-level complex includes a 78,000 square foot Ground Transportation Center, three levels of rental car facilities with 1,200 parking spaces, and an at-grade Quick Turnaround Area (QTA) for fueling, vacuuming, maintenance, car washes, and fleet operations. Supporting infrastructure includes administrative areas and connections to adjacent airport functions.

A series of enabling projects across the site require careful coordination and sequencing. These include the relocation of Gate 155, airline tenants, the TUG facility, and multiple support buildings, such as snow removal, storage, and staging areas. The team is also managing the demolition of outdated structures and coordinating new utility corridors to support construction and long-term flexibility.

The project prioritizes sustainability through strategies such as water-efficient car washes, LED lighting with daylight harvesting and motion sensors, electric vehicle chargers, and infrastructure for solar canopy integration.
