Consolidated Rental Car Facility (ConRAC) at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)

The result is a state-of-the-art, five-story Consolidated Rental Car Facility (ConRAC) that centralizes all rental car operations, enhancing traveler convenience and operational efficiency.

Occupying a 13-acre site, the 1.57 million-square-foot facility includes a 95,000-square-foot customer service building directly connected to the terminal. This integration allows passengers to walk from baggage claim to their rental vehicles without the need for shuttle buses, reducing emissions and improving the overall travel experience.

The four-level garage accommodates 2,710 rental vehicles and features an elevated quick turnaround area (QTA) for efficient vehicle maintenance, fueling, and washing. The project also encompassed the redesign of terminal access roadways, including a new elevated entrance road and bridge, to streamline traffic flow for arrivals and departures.

Sustainability and community engagement were key considerations. The facility’s design reduces shuttle traffic, contributing to lower emissions. Additionally, murals by local artists adorn the space, reflecting the region’s culture and enhancing the passenger experience.

All construction activities were meticulously phased to ensure uninterrupted terminal operations throughout the project.
