Consolidated Rental Car Facility (ConRAC) at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
Boston, MA
This 49-acre, LEED Gold consolidated rental car facility serves as the centralized hub for ground transportation operations at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).

PGAL led the concept design and environmental permitting study, establishing the foundation for the facility’s programming, planning, and development. Designed for long-term sustainability and operational efficiency, the facility unifies rental car services, public transit, and private ground transportation into a single, streamlined campus.
Key components include a four-level parking structure with 3,200 ready, return, and storage spaces; a 113,000-square-foot customer terminal; and four limited-maintenance facilities serving the airport’s taxi, bus, and limousine pools. The project also incorporates major roadway modifications and a dedicated bus access ramp that supports a unified, common-use busing system for the entire airport.
To reduce environmental impact, the facility integrates comprehensive mitigation strategies for greenhouse gas emissions, energy use, and water quality. Additionally, the site layout provides a buffer to adjacent neighborhoods and establishes a clear boundary between airport operations and surrounding residential areas.
By aligning infrastructure with sustainability goals, PGAL helped Massport enhance mobility, improve passenger convenience, and strengthen connections across Logan’s ground transportation network.
