To support a growing population and evolving municipal operations, the City of West University Place undertook the renovation and expansion of its 1950s-era City Hall. The result is a 19,000-square-foot civic complex that consolidates key city services, enhances public safety operations, and preserves the building’s original mid-century character.

Inside the existing structure, administrative offices, public service counters, and shared support spaces were reorganized to improve circulation, functionality, and staff interaction. The renovation introduced code-compliant conference and training rooms, evidence processing and storage areas, and upgraded break and locker rooms, all designed in alignment with the building’s architectural context.

The expansion provides secure, modern space for police and emergency services. Dedicated areas include a criminal investigations division, sally port, interview rooms, juvenile detainment, jail facilities, and an armory. New single-occupancy sleeping quarters support 24-hour firefighter readiness.
