City of League City Public Safety Building
City of League City, TX
League City’s 74,000-square-foot Public Safety Building unifies police, fire, 9-1-1 dispatch, and emergency operations under one fortified, multipurpose roof. Designed as a vital civic resource, the facility houses police and fire administration, a 46-bed jail, evidence processing labs, SWAT armory, and a crime lab. A translucent glass lobby anchors the design, offering a secure yet welcoming connection between departments and the community.

The building includes a 1,500-square-foot dispatch center with 20 call stations, advanced AV systems, and direct adjacency to the city’s emergency operations center for seamless coordination. Key features include a full gym, training and briefing rooms, locker areas, and a floating steel staircase that links both floors. Evidence processing is supported by specialized labs and secure storage, while the jail incorporates isolation and detox spaces, attorney/client visitation, and arraignment rooms.
Site design services included grading, paving, utilities, and detention and storm sewer drainage for the 12-acre site including an access road design to provide accessibility to the facility during extreme events.
