The resulting 30,700-square-foot facility brings a purpose-driven, seven-building campus to the city’s northern sector. Designed to promote transparency, reduce animal stress, and ensure safe, controlled environments for staff and visitors, the layout balances operational function with a thoughtful, low-impact architectural approach.

Located on a quiet seven-acre site, the campus includes separate canine and feline housing, medical treatment suites, community outreach spaces, and dedicated staff areas. The design prioritizes wellness and accessibility, incorporating environmentally conscious strategies that support long-term sustainability and operational efficiency.

A collaborative needs assessment informed the planning process, aligning program requirements with best practices in animal care. The completed facility serves as a vital resource for the Fort Worth community, advancing humane services and reinforcing the city’s investment in animal welfare.
