City of Allen Central Fire Station Renovation + Expansion
Allen, TX
Originally built in 2002, the Central Fire Station required targeted improvements to better support daily operations and enhance staff comfort.

The comprehensive renovation and expansion modernize the 14,188-square-foot facility while unifying administrative offices and fire operations under one roof.
A key enhancement reorients the apparatus bays and relocates the operating firehouse to the north side of the site, improving circulation and addressing inefficiencies from the original layout. The renovation also introduces dedicated training and fire prevention spaces, along with reconfigured administrative areas to streamline workflows.
Upgraded sleeping quarters, bathrooms, and a well-equipped dayroom on the second floor create a more comfortable environment for firefighters on shift. Public-facing improvements include a new reception area, clearer wayfinding, and enhanced community presence through a bold station identifier, accent wall, and a covered outdoor dining and barbecue area.
