Bridge District Phase 6 Mixed-Use
West Sacramento, CA
PGAL is leading the design of the newest phase of the Bridge District, a transformative mixed-use development along the West Sacramento waterfront. The project reimagines underutilized land as a vibrant extension of the city core, introducing new housing, retail, office space, and public amenities that support long-term urban revitalization.

Strategically positioned along the Sacramento River, the development blends contemporary Nordic-inspired architecture with the natural setting to create a dynamic, inclusive environment. The design promotes smart growth, community connectivity, and sustainability, aligning with the city’s vision for a more livable and accessible waterfront.
The master plan includes the seven-story Pierside Apartments, featuring 260 waterfront residential units and 21 live-work townhomes. A five-story mixed-use building at 995 Riverfront Street will offer office space and ground-level retail, while also serving as the new headquarters for Fulcrum Property and Brown Construction. Shared amenities across the development include a fitness center, co-working spaces, pool, spa, indoor-outdoor lounges, a recreational speakeasy, and areas for community gathering.
PGAL worked closely with Fulcrum Property, Brown Construction, Kuchman Architects, Roach Campbell Landscape Architecture, and local stakeholders to shape a cohesive plan that supports urban living while embracing the riverfront context. The plan was designed to capture key vistas of the golden Sacramento Bridge as well as peak-a-boo views of the state capital building across the river.
