As part of the New North Concourse at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, 20,000 square feet of new operations and administrative spaces were developed to serve as the hub for American Airlines’ regional flight operations. The project supports the larger Terminal B/C Redevelopment Program, known as Project Journey, led by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

The design maximizes functionality and space efficiency while aligning with American Airlines’ corporate standards. Spaces include administrative offices, operations rooms, flight crew lounges, break areas, employee restrooms and locker rooms, supply storage, maintenance facilities, and building systems rooms. Finishes were selected for durability, acoustic performance, and ease of maintenance, creating a branded environment that supports daily operations.

Expansive airfield views connect employees to the activity of the concourse, reinforcing engagement with their work. The result is a modern, efficient, and welcoming workplace that enhances the employee experience in step with improvements to the passenger journey.
