PGAL provided full programming and bridging documents for the San Diego Regional Airport Authority’s new 129,000-square-foot administration building, located at the west end of San Diego International Airport (SAN). The facility consolidates departments previously dispersed across multiple locations into a single, state-of-the-art hub designed to foster efficiency, connectivity, and staff well-being.

This four-story structural steel building houses administrative offices supporting executive, external relations, finance, operations, IT, and development teams. It also includes public-facing spaces such as a 4,200-square-foot boardroom, innovation room, and multiple meeting areas.

The design prioritizes health and wellness, with features such as a skylit central staircase, an art wall that anchors the main circulation path, and accessible outdoor spaces overlooking San Diego’s downtown skyline. Each floor includes staff amenities such as break rooms and lounge areas to support collaboration and comfort.
