PGAL Atlanta Serves 80 Meals for 80 Years

As PGAL celebrates 80 years, teams across the firm are marking the milestone by giving back to the communities that have been part of our story.

As part of our PGAL 80th Anniversary Give Back Days, members of the Atlanta office spent time at Ronald McDonald House Atlanta, preparing and serving home-cooked meals for families staying close to their children while they receive medical care.

For families navigating a child’s illness or injury, the everyday things can quickly become one more thing to manage. Ronald McDonald House Atlanta helps ease some of that burden by providing families with a place to stay, meals, and other resources so they can remain close to their child and focus their attention where it matters most.

Since 1979, Ronald McDonald House Atlanta has supported more than 80,000 families traveling to the area for their children’s medical care. Its newest House, located next to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Arthur M. Blank Hospital, expands that support with 110 guest rooms, including 18 dedicated transplant suites, along with family kitchens, dining areas, gathering spaces, laundry facilities, and places for children to play.

In 2024 alone, Ronald McDonald House Atlanta served more than 3,600 families and provided nearly 27,000 nights of lodging. By providing accommodations, food, and transportation support, the organization estimates it saved families nearly $10 million in expenses that year.

The Atlanta team came together in the kitchen to prepare and serve a full meal for families at the House, taking care of one small but important part of the day for parents and caregivers who already have plenty on their minds. In celebration of PGAL’s anniversary, the team set a fitting goal: 80 meals for 80 years.
