Two PGAL Projects Honored at ENR Texas + Louisiana Awards Luncheon

Members from both the DFW High C Gates and Grundfos Regional Headquarters Building teams have reason to celebrate. Both projects were honored at the 2022 ENR Texas + Louisiana Best Project Awards Luncheon on October 13 in Houston, Texas.

The Grundfos Headquarters Office Building – located in Brookshire, Texas - won Best Project in the Office/Retail/Mixed-Use category and was also a finalist for the Project of the Year, advancing it to the national competition.  The two-story, 50,000-square-foot, LEED Platinum office building was envisioned as an opportunity to promote the Danish company’s vision and products (water management and pump manufacturer) while also illustrating its sustainability mission for ecology, people, buildings, and infrastructure.

The DFW Terminal C – High C Gates, Unitized Modular Concourse project was presented with the Award of Merit in the Airport/Transit category. Delivered under a progressive design-build contract, the team replaced the existing High C gates with a new modular core and shell envelope.

94 projects were submitted for the awards from the five-station region of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas. The team of judges spent a month reviewing entries for achievement in five areas: project challenges and solutions, safety programs, innovative design and construction solutions, contribution to the construction industry and the community as well as design quality and craftsmanship.
