Matthew Ellis joined PGAL in 2018 through a merger with his West Coast practice. With deep roots in hospitality, retail, adaptive reuse, and aviation, he leads with a passion for storytelling and contextual design that reflects both client vision and local identity.
Matthew embraces PGAL’s collaborative structure, noting the seamless integration across offices and the people-focused culture that drew him to the firm. His work is grounded in discovery, community, and a desire to inspire.
Matthew earned both a Bachelor in Architecture and Bachelor in Environmental Design from Ball State University and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
