Since joining PGAL in 1996, Ian Nestler has played a key role in expanding the firm’s higher education, cultural, and aviation practice areas. As Principal and Executive Vice President, his project leadership is informed by decades of experience in master planning, campus facilities, housing, and performance venues, as well as deep collaboration across PGAL offices.
Ian is committed to cross-office knowledge sharing and fostering a forward-thinking culture that encourages innovation and professional growth. He sees PGAL’s strength in its people and in the firm’s ability to evolve while staying grounded in purposeful design.
Ian earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Southern California and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
