PGAL Gives Back to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria

As part of PGAL’s 80th Anniversary Give Back Days, our Alexandria team came together to support the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA), an organization that shares a special milestone with PGAL: 80 years of serving its community.

Founded in 1946, AWLA has spent eight decades providing shelter and resources for animals in need while supporting pets and the people who care for them throughout Alexandria.

The PGAL team designed and built sensory enrichment planters for animals in AWLA’s care, filling them with dog-friendly herbs that offer new scents to sniff and explore, along with plenty of catnip for the cats. The team also donated more than 100 toys to provide continued enrichment for the shelter’s animals.

Community service has been an important part of PGAL’s 80th anniversary celebration throughout 2026, giving teams across the firm opportunities to support organizations making a difference in their own communities. Sharing this milestone with AWLA, which has dedicated the past eight decades to animals and the people of Alexandria, made this Give Back Day especially meaningful.
