Located at a prominent campus intersection, the project is redefining this edge of campus as a destination for collaboration and engagement. The design elevates the visibility of the Teaching and Learning Center while enhancing the overall student experience.

The program brings together the Teaching and Learning Center, active learning classrooms, learning studios, faculty triage and support spaces, and a variety of collaborative and informal student environments. Flexible classroom configurations and integrated instructional technology will support interdisciplinary teaching strategies and participatory learning models across departments.

Positioned along major pedestrian corridors, the building reinforces circulation between Avenue J and the historic quad. An exterior colonnade is guiding movement along shaded walkways, while a central atrium is extending key pedestrian pathways through the interior to create visual connectivity and activate the campus edge. Through strategic renovation and expansion, the Active Learning Center is establishing a visible anchor for modern academic delivery and cross-campus collaboration.
