Aransas County officials, community members, and project partners recently gathered to celebrate the opening of the new Aransas County Courthouse and Community Center, marking a major milestone in the county’s long-term recovery following Hurricane Harvey.

Its completion represents years of careful planning, coordination, and perseverance, as county leaders worked to restore a permanent home for essential public services while supporting broader community recovery efforts.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony honored the collaborative effort behind the project and highlighted the courthouse’s role as a cornerstone for downtown Rockport and the surrounding region. For many in attendance, the building symbolized progress, resilience, and a renewed sense of stability after years of rebuilding.

The courthouse now stands as both a center for public service and a lasting symbol of Aransas County’s determination to move forward.

PGAL Principal Paul Bonnette shared, “This courthouse stands as a reminder of how much can be accomplished through shared commitment and dedication. It’s an honor to help deliver a project that will support the community well into the future.”
